Working With Students
I recognize that each student I encounter has a unique set of circumstances that affects how they learn and grow. Regardless of race, cultural background, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or age, it is my desire to help students meet their fullest potential. It is my belief that students can meet their potential when they are in an environment that they consider safe and supportive. For an environment to meet this criterion there must be three elements in place:
- An encouraging individual that will positively facilitate the learning process
- Opportunities for a student to express their individuality and learn using interventions and strategies that work for them
- Advocating self-respect, respect for others, and respect for their environment
